Our little Foxy girl has been going through a lot. She had a back injury from her arthritis which led to a bladder issue, which led to stomach irritation/ulcers from the meds she was on and now kidney failure. To keep her up and going we need to give her sub fluids and pills. She is very stubborn and is fighting us with meds, etc., working on her healing and insisting on walking around herself and keeping on her schedule. The spirit is strong. I want to do whatever I can for her if she is still in fighting mode.
(The chipin clip goes to Paypal and my husband account, Aquarius Websites.) If everyone could contribute even a little bit, we can reach our goal.
In the past few weeks, I have been given the opportunity to face my fears and the blocks that have been in my way for so long. I think Foxy is helping me heal so much and the rest of our family. The vets we’ve encountered have mirrored the childhood voices of withholding and not listening. I see that now. And among the fears from everyone, there’s been the voice of hope, the voice of Angels, the voice of Foxy.
So, to help Foxy through this crisis in whatever way she needs I am selling my For The love of Dog books. As an aside, we will be starting many of the Fairy school online classes check it out here. I am not offering readings now; I am not in a place to do so.
Ill be offering my small handmade book and book design class (ART298 091780) at Yavapai College Prescott Valley campus. Class is on Wednesday nights 6-8 pm, 2 credit course, and starts January 21st. Emphasis will be on making books for personal expression! We will make and explore:
art journals
zines
handmade notebooks
mini limited edition books
instant books
Every two weeks we will have a different theme to design and fill our book. We will learn a different cool binding technique and a design basic. I’ll share tons of information and resources. We will let our imaginations flow!
Finally had a bit of time to sketch for IF. Woo hoo! It’s been so long. Now that the semester of teaching and taking classes is over, I may be able to have a little breather. For Rambunctious, the one IF word that is hard to spell, I give you the complete opposite. This is a round-up of my girls and what they are doing lately, because even in Arizona, it’s been cold, damp and yukky. These drawings are from my moleskin diaries. As I write, I tend to stop and draw my girls lying down nearby. Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you tongue in cheek, Rambunctious:
This is the basset ball. Very hard move to make. Don’t try to nap at home like this. For this move, there must always be a pillow at your head for comfort.
Let’s have another look at that move. Beautiful. Notice the wrap-around tail effect.
Another nap technique: Foxy likes to sleep with her tongue out.
And, the nap in bean bag technique. Look how effortless Sarah makes this move look. Amazing.
There you have it, difficult nap moves. For you dog lovers, be sure to check out my video below and order a copy of For The Love of Dog, a great Xmas gift. Leave a comment with your name and you may be the winner of our For The Love of Dog giveaway contest. Winner will be picked randomly from the comments. Sweet.
In Yoga class, we are all creating projects to represent our experiences in the class. I created a handmade book diary of pages called “After Yoga.” (naturally because I teach the handmade book class at the college). After class, I always have great realizations or ideas flowing through me. Here’s what I learned about support.
